What is the difference between the one-day camp and the four-day camp?

The two camps are VERY DIFFERENT. The one-day camps are structured as a skills challenge camp where Coach Edsall and his staff put your talents and abilities to the test. The Skills Challenge Camp is designed to evaluate your game and help you understand what you need to improve. They are designed to test your abilities to let you see where you stand in comparison to other boys your age. At each of my four-day skill development varsity camps, we use great position coaches, video tools and outstanding facilities to help you fully develop your talents. We focus on technique, strength and speed. Both camps utilize Connecticut's superior training facilities. Both camps utilize Connecticut's superior training facilities.

How are teams set up if my son is not coming with a team?

The University of Connecticut Football staff will assign teams. The campers are separated by skill position (offensive line and defensive line). They do their best to make sure the teams are even. The teams are sometimes adjusted during the session once skill level is assessed by counselors.

What are the meals like?

We eat all of our meals in a University of Connecticut cafeteria. All of the food is served buffet style. It is an all-you-can-eat environment at each meal. There is a wide selection at meals; even picky eaters should be able to find something to eat! There is also a vegetarian selection at each meal. They usually have a pasta bar at dinner, a salad bar at all meals, lots of fruit and drinks, ice cream, the regular hot food service, a sandwich bar, etc. There are many options and everyone should be able to find something that they like.

IMPORTANT:Please notify the camp administrators at 860.674.1500 or by email at Info@RandyEdsall.com of any food allergies your son might have.
